Bike Ride to Hagg Lake
Last Saturday I rode out to Hagg Lake, which is a little past Forest Grove. We took the MAX to the last stop in Hillsboro, then rode out and back. It was just over 38 miles and mostly flat, with a few hills around the lake. I took a bunch of photos. My road riding gear is horrible. I left a lot of my stuff in NY, including decent shoes with stiff bottoms, my bike tights, and my hip pouch. I could also really use some water bottle cages. I used my messenger bag, which gets really heavy after awhile, jeans (which weren’t awful, but tights would’ve been better) and some really cheap canvas shoes, which are actually just glorified slippers.

Dead Man’s Bones- i heart concept albums
Dead Man’s Bones is Ryan Gosling (yeah, the guy from The Notebook) and Zach Shield with the Silverlake Conservatory Music Children’s Choir. They just put out a concept album. It sounds like 60s folk and doo-op mixed with zombie movie soundtrack. Which are a few of my favorite things. Anyway, They are playing at Mississippi studios on Oct.25th.

Table Project
My roommate bought some plywood to use as a table top for a patio table. I mapped out my design on photoshop and then made stencils. I painted the colors with tempera paint, and outlined everything with a stinky silver paint marker. My roommate then sealed it up with some polyurethane. My mom wanted pictures, so I figured I throw them on here as well!
